I just got a Phillips GoGear Vibe so that I could download and listen to books while I’m working. When I emailed Phillips to ask why I was having trouble they said that audiobook has to be a ‘format 4’. Are your books ‘format 4’? and if they are not do you know where I can find more free audio books? Thank you so much. I have listened and really enjoy your books.

According to the Philips website, “Philips GoGear players support a wide range of file formats. It really doesn’t matter whether you want to listen to your MP3, WMA or AAC songs.”

However, I read elsewhere that “You can play variety of audio and video files on the move including MP3, WMA or DRM files through Audible and Rhapsody subscriptions.”

Audible (a pay site) uses a Format 4. All our files are available as MP3, and can be played on all normal MP3 players, but it looks as if Philips isn’t a normal MP3 player. :(

I enjoy the podcasts even the old ones to see what happened as you progressed.
