LibriVox – Poetry experiment

OK, here’s an experiment. We’ve posted a poem in the forum (by William Blake), and we’re asking everyone and anyone to record a version of it. We’ll leave the poem open for a week.

This is a good way to cut your teeth if you haven’t recorded anything yet, and want to try. It’s also an illustration of something we at LibriVox find fascinating — the different ways people can read the same text.

The poem is short, and very good, so why not visit the forum and inspire yourself with, “The Voice of the Ancient Bard.”

Is this site run by women? How about being able to browse the catalog by title and not just author or am I missing it?

Well, I am a woman, so I suppose my answer is probably not of any value, but in case you read it, we are currently considering all sorts of ways to improve our catalogue and its search facility. When LibriVox started, I don’t think anyone envisaged the day when the catalogue would have over 3000 items in it. Why not come and make your suggestions on the forum? We don’t bite… much.
