Winter’s coming — at least up in Canada — so we thought a little taste of the North would be appropriate for our next podcast. A tale of adventure in the cold is next, Jack London’s classic Call of the Wild. Buck, a patrician dog from a Californian estate is kidnapped and sent up to gold-rush era Yukon, where seld dogs are needed for the exhausting work of hauling goods through the ice and snow. Buck battles with wicked men, brutal weather, and and the violent society of his fellow canines to become the most celebrated dog in the north.
