The Christmas Reindeer (Version 2)

Thornton W. Burgess (1874 - 1965)

This story follows a young brother and sister who grow up herding reindeer and then discover how the Western story of Santa Claus fits in with what they believe of "the Good Spirit". Eight reindeer are chosen each year during the annual milling and disappear for some time. Where do they go? Could they be helping Santa? And wouldn't it be wonderful if THEIR reindeer could be chosen? A charming story about that special time of year told from a refreshing new slant that forces the listener to listen with new ears to the real wonder and excitement of the Christmas story. - Summary by phil chenevert
