Stillman and composers: Felix Mendelssohn, Richard Wagner, Franz Liszt, Charles Gounod, Edvard Grieg and Joseph Haydn with brief editorial introductions.. Each chapter includes excerpts from letters, autobiographies, or diaries written by the specific artist or composer.
