Liian Paha Sappi
The poem Liian Paha Sappi by Aaro Hellaakoski, which tells the tale of a child struggling to keep his temper:
A TEMPER TOO BAD
How it burns my sisu
when I have to be quiet
If my will would be fulfilled
the undertaker would get grain.
A little boy has gotten
a temper too bad
This sisu cannot be put out
by even the most snowy Lapland.
This project is unusual in that most of the readers are non-Finnish speakers, and learned the poem phonically.
