Élie Berthet (1815 - 1891)

Dans la moitié du 18e siècle une bête féroce terrorisait la population du Gévaudan. Le mythe de la bête du Gévaudan fascine les gens encore aujourd'hui, le mystère n'ayant jamais été découvert conclusivement. Un siècle après ces incidents tragiques, Élie Berthet (1815-1891) auteur populaire qui a plus de 100 romans sous son nom, écrivit sa version romanesque des faits qui s'étaient produits.
