Kenneth McGaffey (1881 - 1938)

"Kenneth McGaffey was an American author who primarily wrote about the film industry in the early years of Hollywood. He wrote for several periodicals including Motion Picture Magazine and Photoplay, two early film fan magazines. He is best remembered for having written two novels whose protagonists are female performers, one in film and the other on the stage: Mollie of the Movies and The Sorrows of a Show Girl. McGaffey also served as Assistant Director to George Melford in the making of the 1915 drama film The Puppet Crown."
