Earl Peirce (1917 - 1983)
Earl Stanley Peirce, Jr. (February 28, 1917 - June 6, 1983) was an American short story author. He wrote short stories for the pulps between 1936 and 1940. In his youth he knew Robert Bloch (the author of Psycho) and also briefly corresponded with H. P. Lovecraft.
