Elizabeth Hart Pennell

Elizabeth Harriet Hart (nicknamed "Lisch," married name Pennell) was from Louisville, Kentucky. While at Wellesley, she wrote her class's Freshman play, and was the President of the Christian Association, as well as a member of Society Tau Zeta Epsilon (the arts society). She went on to be a published poet and taught in small private schools in St. Louis. She also worked overseas in the canteen of the YMCA during World War I, and in the canteen of the Red Cross during World War II.
