Ziqing Zhu (1898 - 1948)
Zhu Ziqing (Chinese: 朱自清; pinyin: Zhū Zìqīng; Wade–Giles: Chu Tzu-Ch'ing) (November 22, 1898 – August 12, 1948) (birth name: simplified Chinese: 朱自华; traditional Chinese: 朱自華; pinyin: Zhū Zìhuá) was a renowned Chinese poet and essayist. Zhu studied at Peking University, and during the May Fourth Movement became one of several pioneers of modernism in China during the 1920s.
