Elisabeth P. Stork (1888 - 1968)
Elisabeth Pausinger Stork (August 20, 1888 – July 3, 1968), born Elisabeth von Pausinger, was an Austrian American translator fluent in German and English. The daughter of Austrian painter Franz Xaver von Pausinger, Elisabeth married American author Charles Wharton Stork in 1908. Both Elisabeth and Charles worked as translators, with Elisabeth focusing on translating Swiss author Johanna Spyri's children's novels from German into English.
