Henry Spalding (1840 - 1907)

Henry Spalding (September 27, 1840 - May 22, 1907) was a retired lieutenant colonel in the British military. In addition to his military career, Spalding was a noted translator from Russian. He completed the first complete English translation of Eugene Onegin by Alexander Pushkin in 1881.
