Robert Buist (1805 - 1880)

Robert Buist (November 14, 1805 – July 13, 1880) was a Scottish-born nursery- and seedsman based in Philadelphia. Through his businesses and his garden manuals, Buist became one of the most influential figures in American horticulture during the 19th century.
