James Hay (1881 - 1936)
James Hay, Jr. (January 28, 1881 - May 7, 1936) was an American journalist and novelist. He worked at both the Washington Post and Washington Times, where his political assignments led to his appointment as White House reporter. He was a founder and charter member of the National Press Club. Afterwards he was a freelance writer of stories and magazine articles. He wrote 10 books, most of which are detective stories.
