Harold W. Fairbanks (b.1860) was an expert on the geology and geography of the Pacific Coast, and author of over 40 articles. His published works include Stories of our mother Earth (1899), Home geography (1902), Physiography of California (1903), and Stories of rocks and minerals (1903)
