Frank Lewis Dyer (1870 - 1941)

Frank Lewis Dyer (2 August 1870 - 4 June 1941) was a friend and biographer of Thomas A. Edison and himself a well-known inventor. He held over 100 patents. The most notable of his inventions was the "talking book" for the blind, a special phonograph with records running about three hours each. He was also inventor of a round bale cotton press and an electric steering gear and had done early experimentation with liquid air.
