Hugh C. Weir (1884 - 1934)

Hugh Cosgro Weir (May 1, 1884 - March 16, 1934) was an American Newspaper Reporter, Magazine Editor, Author and Screenwriter. He worked as a journalist at age 16, wrote his first screenplay at 20, and eventually set up his own combination advertising agency and magazine publishing house. He is best known today for his series of stories featuring Madelyn Mack, a female detective.
