Rutherford Hayes Platt (1894 - 1975)

Rutherford Hayes Platt, Jr. served in WW I as a lieutenant. He received his bachelor's degree from Yale in 1918. He was a botanist, nature writer, photographer, and advertising executive. He received the John Burroughs Medal in 1945 for his 1942 book This Green World.
