Elizabeth Harrison (1849 - 1927)
Elizabeth Harrison (sometimes called Elizabeth Harkison) was an American educator. She was Co-Principal of the Chicago Kindergarten College, who wrote children's stories. She was also the founder and first president of what is today National Louis University. Harrison was a pioneer in creating professional standards for early childhood teachers and in promoting early childhood education.
