Edward Goodman (1888 - 1962)
During World War I, Edward Goodman was Director of the Washington Square Players, an amateur theatrical company in New York. He became a respected writer, director and critic and was known as a good judge of young talent, having given many successful actors their first jobs. He also taught and directed at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts.
