Friedrich Gerstäcker (1816 - 1872)

Friedrich Gerstäcker was a German traveler and novelist. Gerstäcker travelled round the world, visiting North and South America, Polynesia and Australia, the West Indies, Egypt and Abyssinia, and wrote novels about the places he had visited.
