Richard Connell (1893 - 1949)

Richard Edward Connell, Jr. (October 17, 1893 – November 22, 1949) was an American author, journalist and screenwriter, particularly known for his short stories published in the Saturday Evening Post. Twice he was nominated for an Academy Award for his adaptations of his own stories.
