Sóror Maria do Céu (1658 - 1753)

Sister Maria do Céu (September 11 , 1658 - May 28 , 1753) was a Poor Clare nun, writer, poet, and Portuguese Baroque playwright. Before entering the convent on June 27, 1676 , she had the name Maria da Eça and, when writing her comedies, she also used the pseudonym Sor Marina Clemência.
