Ana Lima Pimentel (1882 - 1918)

Ana was born in Lima Pimentel Assu (RN) in May 16, 1882. Very intelligent and sensitive, was self-taught, and used to read everything you find, especially romantic literature. Ana Lima, and Ana Lima, also used as a sign, collaborated in various newspapers and magazines in North and Northeast, as The Republic (1903), The Lyrio (Recife, 1903), Almanach Literary History of the Municipality of Assu (1904) , among others, often using the pseudonym "Sinha". In 1901, at age nineteen, published a book of poems Verbena, which received laudatory preface by Pedro Avelino, well known journalist and his countryman. On December 22, 1906, she married the professor Celestino Pimentel, who has six children. At thirty-six, pregnant with her ​​seventh child, the poet suffers a fall that caused the immediate death of his son and, weeks later, his own, in January 18, 1918.
