Fred Whittaker (1838 - 1889)

Captain Frederick Whittaker (December 12, 1838 - May 13, 1889) was an English-born American cavalry officer, novelist, biographer, spiritualist and labor crusader. He is probably best known for his biography The Complete Biography of George Armstrong Custer, but also wrote a number of dime novels.
