Sarah Jane Biss (1845 - 1921)

Sarah Jane Biss was greatly interested in literature and for many years contributed to the New Zealand Herald and Otago Witness under the nom de plume of Joyce Jocelyn. Her work is represented in some anthologies of New Zealand verse. She was also in the literary committee of the Victoria League.
