John C. Chapin (1920 - 2008)

John C. Chapin (b. 1920 - d. 2008) was a retired Captain in the U. S. Marines. He served in action in WWII and after injury moved to the Historical Division, Headquarters Marine Corps, he wrote the first official histories of the 4th and 5th Marine Divisions.
