Helene Simon (1862 - 1947)

Helene Simon was a social scientist, social democrat and feminist. She co-founded the workers' welfare organization “Arbeiterwohlfahrt”. She had to flee persecution from Germany during National Socialism and then lived in England. She has published countless academic writings and translated English sociological texts into German. Helene Simon war Sozialwissenschaftlerin, Sozialdemokratin und Feministin. Sie hat die Arbeiterwohlfahrt mitbegründet. Sie musste im Nationalsozialismus vor Verfolgung aus Deutschland fliehen und lebte danach in England. Sie hat unzählige wissenschaftliche Schriften veröffentlicht und soziologische Texte aus dem Englischen übersetzt.
