Margarete Beutler (1876 - 1949)

Margarete Beutler was a poet, playwright and translator (French). She belonged to the artistic circles in Munich and Berlin. In 1933 she refused to join the Reichsschrifttumkammer (Nationalsocialist Reich Chamber of Literature) and therefore had to give up publishing. Her literary work was forgotten until it was found in the attic of the family home in 1985.
