Jean Passerat (1534 - 1602)

Jean Passerat (18 October 1534 – 14 September 1602) was a 16th-century French poet, satirist and a professor of Latin in the Collège de France. He composed elegant and tender verse and was one of the contributors to the “Satire Ménippée,” mostly with verse.
