Marie Ille-Beeg, also known under the pseudonym Maria Beeg (September 14, 1855 - November 28, 1927), was a German writer and illustrator. She created numerous picture, fairy tale and story books for children and young people, especially young girls. In a preserved autograph, the artist writes: “Happy is he who is allowed to work for the youth – the present and the future belong to him.”
