Fritz Schotthöfer (1871 - 1951)

Fritz Schotthöfer (March 3, 1871 - October 29, 1951) was a German journalist and author. Schotthöfer, who came from a Jewish family, worked for the Frankfurter Zeitung in Paris around 1904. During the First World War he wrote in the press department of the German governor in the General Government of Belgium to place German news in the local press. After the war he traveled to Soviet Russia and Mussolini's Italy and published about them. He continued to work for the Frankfurter Zeitung at least until March 1930. His definition of fascism is still quoted today.
