Mary Seymour (1846 - 1893)

Mary Foot Seymour was an American law reporter, business woman and journalist. She began her writings at the early age of 8. She wrote a play for her school and several poems, before becoming a teacher and a magazine editor. She also founded the first women's typewriting and business school, the Union School of Stenography.
