Friedrich Menk-Dittmarsch (1819 - 1893)
Friedrich Menk-Dittmarsch (Karl Dittmarsch) was a German writer, typographer, and industrialist. In 1844 he set up a literary-artistic institute in Stuttgart, later moving it to Austria. The urge for independence caused him to work with the book printer owner Zamarski, in 1856, to set up the typographic-literary-artistic institute in Vienna, "whose products have made a significant contribution to bringing the graphic arts in Austria to such a high level of perfection that competition from abroad can no longer be feared".
