Horace Greeley (1811 - 1872)
Horace Greeley was an American politician and newspaper editor and publisher. He was the founder and editor of the New-York Tribune, served as a congressman from New York, and was the unsuccessful candidate of the new Liberal Republican Party in the 1872 presidential election against President Ulysses S. Grant.
