William Duke (1757 - 1840)

The Rev. William Duke was an American methodist preacher, later Professor of Languages in St. John’s College, Annapolis, and eventually the Principal of the Elkton Academy. Author of a pamphlet entitled “Observations on the Present State of Religion in Maryland,” and a small volume entitled “Hymns and Poems on Various Occasions.”
