George Livermore (1809 - 1865)

George Livermore (July 10, 1809 – August 30, 1865) was an American antiquarian, bibliographer, and historian, known chiefly as a book collector. He developed in his lifetime what was recognized as one of the finest private libraries in the United States. (He is not to be confused with George Griswold Livermore, his grandson.)
