Hartmann Grisar (1845 - 1932)

Hartmann Grisar (22 September 1845 - 25 February 1932) was a Catholic church historian. At the completion of his early studies with the Christian Brothers in Coblenz, Grisar took courses in philosophy and theology at Munster under a renowned Bavarian neo-Thomist, Albert Stockl. Further theological study at the University of Innsbruck led to a doctorate in 1868.
