Johann Gabriel Seidl (1804 - 1875)

Johann Gabriel Seidl was an Austrian archeologist, poet, storyteller and dramatist. He wrote the lyrics to the 1854 version of the Austrian Imperial Anthem, music by Joseph Haydn.
