Nicolás Tasín (1873 - 1941)

Nicolás Tasín is the pseudonym of Naum Tasin Kagan, who was an author and translator from Russian and Polish. Russian of Jewish origin, he was a controversial and enigmatic character. Apparently, he was a member of the Kerensky (Menchevik) Revolutionary Party, which led to his imprisonment and deportation to Siberia during the Tsarist regime. With the coming of the October Revolution, he emigrated to Germany and thence to Spain, where he settled for some time before removing to Paris. During his stay in Spain he published several works of a political character, such as The Russian Revolution: Its Origins, The Fall of Tsarism, Heroes and Martyrs of the Russian Revolution, & The Dictatorship of the Proletariat or The Traitor in the Underground of the Russian Revolution, all of marked tendency contrary to the Bolshevik regime.
