Baltasar Alamos (1555 - 1640)

Baltasar Alamos de Barrientos was a Spanish scholar. His friendship with statesman Antonio Pérez caused him to be arrested in 1590 and imprisoned for nearly thirteen years. Through the influence of the Duke of Lerma and of the Count-Duke of Olivares, he subsequently attained high official position.
