Charles Edward Moberly (1820 - 1893)

Moberly, Charles Edward, M.A., son of W. Moberly and nephew of the late Bishop Moberly of Salisbury, born in 1820, and educated at Balliol College, Oxford (B.A. 1840). He was sometime assistant master at Rugby School, and then Rector of Coin-Rogers, Gloucestershire. He retired from the latter in 1883. His hymn "If Thou, O God, wert all unrest" (Faith) was contributed to Hymns for the Use of Rugby School, 1876. --John Julian, Dictionary of Hymnology, Appendix, Part II (1907)
