Mariano Latorre (1886 - 1955)
Mariano Lautaro Latorre Court (January 4, 1886 - November 10, 1955) was a Chilean writer, poet, teacher and academic of Basque origin, considered the father of Creole in Chile, whose literary contributions made him worthy of of the National Prize for Literature in 1944.
