Carl Lumholtz (1851 - 1922)

Carl Lumholtz (23 April 1851 – 5 May 1922) was a Norwegian explorer, ethnographer and adventurer. Unlike his contemporaries, his writing took on a more academic aspect and he recorded the social relationships, attitudes and the role of women in society.
