William Worthington Fowler (1833 - 1881)
William Worthington Fowler (June 24, 1833 - September 18, 1881) was an American nonfiction writer and Connecticut state senator. He studied law at Amherst and in New York City where he was admitted to the bar in 1857. He practised his profession in New York till 1864, then became a broker, and in 1871 abandoned that business for literature and journalism. In 1879, he was a member of the Connecticut Senate. He was for twelve years the New York financial correspondent of the Boston "Commercial Bulletin".
