Eugène Crépet (1827 - 1892)

Eugène Crépet (March 4, 1827 - January 8, 1892), was a French literary critic, Romanist, autobiographer, bibliographer, preface, sub-prefect and friend of Charles Baudelaire. He is the author of an anthology of French poets. He maintained a correspondence with Gustave Flaubert and helped him in his research for Salammbô about the reproduction of a simple Punic mosaic (1857).
