Serge Persky (1870 - 1938)
Serge Persky (in Russian: Сергей Маркович Перский, Sergei Markovich Persky) was a Franco-Russian writer, literary critic and translator. He was one of the leading translators from Russian into French at the start of the 20th century. In particular, he made Leonid Andreyev, Maxime Gorky and Dimitri Merejkovsky known in France. He wrote numerous essays on Russian literature.
