Johann Wilhelm Ludwig Gleim (1719 - 1803)

Johann Wilhelm Ludwig Gleim (April 2, 1719 - February 18, 1803) was a poet, literary patron and collector of the German Enlightenment and exponent of the friendship culture of the Enlightenment. As a literary sponsor and patriarch of German literature at the end of the 18th century, he was also known under the name "Father Gleim".
