Andreas Jonas Czirbeß (1732 - 1813)
Andreas Jonas Czirbeß was an Austro-Hungarian Evangelical clergyman. He was born in Kirchdorf in 1732. Like his father, he devoted himself to the Christian orders. He studied theology and supported the priest of Iglo (in the today's territory of Slovakia) in his ministry. He took over the community of Poprad, because of the death of the priest there. After the priest of Iglo died, the community of Iglo wanted Czirbeß to come back. But his community at Poprad voted against it, so the community of Iglo took action. Through a successful escape from Poprad, he started his ministry as the elected Priest of Iglo. From then on, he devoted himself to this community, neighboring communities, his teaching and various private studies in sciences. Andreas Jonas Czirbeß died on January 16, 1813.
